Rode Broadcaster Condenser Microphone

Description

The RODE Broadcaster Condenser Microphone is a professional large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone designed specifically for broadcast, voice-over, radio, podcasting, and other professional vocal applications. Its full-range response delivers clear and detailed voice reproduction suitable for demanding studio environments.

At the heart of the Broadcaster is an HF2 1-inch capsule with a gold-plated diaphragm, providing high-quality audio capture with low noise. Its cardioid polar pattern focuses on the speaker’s voice while helping reduce unwanted sound arriving from the sides and rear of the microphone.

The microphone features an internal pop filter designed to minimize plosive sounds that can overload the capsule and cause distortion. Its emphasized proximity effect also allows broadcasters and voice-over artists to achieve a fuller vocal character when working close to the microphone.

With a native 20 Hz–20 kHz frequency response, the Broadcaster captures a wide range of vocal detail. A selectable 75 Hz high-pass filter can be activated to reduce unwanted low-frequency noise from sources such as air conditioning systems, traffic, and environmental rumble.

A distinctive On-Air LED indicator is integrated directly into the microphone body. It can be connected for external activation through the Channel On/Mute function of compatible broadcast consoles. When no external switching system is connected, the indicator remains illuminated whenever the microphone is powered.

Combining a professional condenser capsule, low-noise performance, integrated pop filtering, and broadcast-focused controls, the RODE Broadcaster is a dependable microphone for professional studios, radio stations, voice-over recording, and high-quality spoken-word production.
